The Welding Inspector-A brief overview!

This presentation will address duties, qualifications, and training methods related to working as a welding inspector. This presentation would be ideal for both current inspectors and those interested in becoming more involved in welding inspection as their career grows.

The general topics are:

  • What does an inspector do?
  • Who can be an inspector?
  • What knowledge/skills/qualifications are required/suggested?
  • Do you have to be a CWI ?
  • What does the inspector NOT do?
  • Learning to become a good inspector.

This meeting is open to anyone interested in welding.  This includes individuals who work in the industry and also students. If you are considering becoming a welding inspector, this meeting could be a great place to gain some information and ask questions!
